The Admiral Nimitz Foundation is proud to announce the opening of the new National Museum of the Pacific War “Command Post” located in the historic Nauwald Building on Main Street. The ribbon cutting for the Command Post will take place Saturday March 9th at 9 a.m. at historic Nauwald building at 328 East Main Street next to the Nimitz Hotel. This event is open to the public and complimentary cake and coffee will be served.
The Command Post will be the new welcome/information center for the National Museum of the Pacific War. Besides providing information and an additional location for visitors to purchase admission tickets, it will also contain a small retail section.
In celebration of the Command Post opening, the Foundation will offer several special promotions.
From March 9th through May 31st, register to win a reproduction M1 Garand Rifle, bayonet, and case valued at $500. Drawing will be held May 31, 2013
On Wednesday March 13th the Command Post will offer dog tags at half price. Get two personalized dog tags with chain for $5.00.
On March 15th, the Foundation will hold its annual spring kite making Family Fun Day at the museum. The Command Post will give 10% off all kites in stock.
