Waltham, Massachusetts (PRWEB) March 02, 2013
Emagination Computer Camps, a national operator of summer technology camps for kids and teens, will host an Open House at Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts on Saturday March 16th.
Presentations by Camp Directors will run continuously from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and will be held in the Smith Academic Technology Center. Camp Directors will be available to answer questions about Emagination’s summer camp programs. Campus tours will follow the informational presentations.
Directions to campus and the Smith Academic Technology Center are available on Emagination’s web site.
At its Bentley University computer camp, Emagination offers over 25 technology workshops including 3D Animation, 3D Art, Digital Music, iMovie, Web Design, Video Game Design, Mobile Game Design, C++, JAVA, iApps, Robotics, Radio-Controlled Cars and more.
Emagination offers cutting edge technology learning plus summer camp fun --- campers go to the pool, play soccer, tennis, capture the flag, ultimate Frisbee and enjoy other outdoor summer camp games and social activities. Aspiring actors may enjoy Emagination’s Drama workshop. Teens are part of Senior Camp that includes more independence, privileges and a senior lounge for free time with camp friends.
Campers are taught using professionally developed curriculums delivered in person (not online) by an enthusiastic staff of young adults who share a passion for technology. Counselors include recent college graduates, current college students and Emagination camper alumni. They are studying computer science, information technologies, digital arts and related fields.
Campers get a head start with colleges and careers through learning valuable technology skills at Emagination. The summer camp also emphasizes social development through teamwork, group projects, and traditional summer camp activities.
Kids and teens ages 8-17 come for two-week sessions as a day or overnight camper. They select three technology workshops plus a recreation activity for fun non tech time. A Talent Show, a day of outdoor and indoor games on Saturday, table talks, and an evening program of recreation and technology help create a balanced summer camp experience.
“Emagination is pleased to offer prospective camp families the opportunity to visit the Bentley campus, meet our staff and learn about our programs in an informal setting” said Craig Whiting, Executive Director of Emagination.
