In an effort to continue assisting those in need, the ‘Karma Cares Foundation’ has targeted the victims of Hurricane Sandy. For every bottle of Karma Tequila sold in the broad market in the State of New Jersey, $1 of each purchase will be donated to the ‘Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund’. The hope is to help rebuild New Jersey after the devastating tragedy on October 29, 2012.

On November 2, 2012, the independent 501(c)(3) non-profit was formed in order to rebuild lives and communities after Hurricane Sandy’s record devastation across New Jersey. The Fund is chaired by First Lady Mary Pat Christie and counts a number of New Jersey-based celebrities such as Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Kelly Ripa, and other supporters who have lent their name to promote the Fund and raise awareness about the ongoing needs of Sandy’s victims.

The Fund has raised over $32 million from 25,000 generous donors worldwide, and is committed to long-term recovery in the months and years ahead.

The ‘Karma Cares Foundation’ is committed to supporting the revival of the communities affected by Hurricane Sandy. Mike McNulty, Vice President and Brand Marketing Manager of Fedway Distribution of New Jersey, recognizes the Karma contribution. “Karma Tequila has real Jersey roots and is definitely Jersey strong,” said McNulty.

The Karma Tequila family is profoundly linked to the State of New Jersey. Not only does co-founder of Karma Tequila, Gary Eisenberger, have Jersey roots, the East Coast Director of Sales, Guy Scarpelli, was born and raised there as well.

“I was raised in Metuchen and Gary is from Colonia. We both spent numerous summer days at the shore with family and friends reflecting on such fond memories,” said Scarpelli. “Through our foundation, Karma Cares, we want to do our part to restore the shore and rebuild lives. New Jersey, our home.”

“We are grateful for the Karma Cares Foundation’s support and look forward to partnering with them to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy,” said First Lady Mary Pat Christie. “We are committed to being a long-term resource for New Jersey’s families, businesses and communities. And while there is a long road to recovery, New Jerseyans are strong, determined and dedicated to rebuilding better and stronger than before.”
