New Yorkers, get ready for a frozen phenomenon. Along with the winter weather, a delicious frozen treat is headed your way that’s sure to please your taste buds year round.    

Starting March, 2013, New Yorkers will easily whip up countless frozen yogurt creations thanks to FrozenPeaks’ grand opening at 95th and Broadway in the Upper West Side. After opening its first four FrozenPeaks locations in New Jersey last year, the franchise is ready to share some Garden State frozen sweetness with New York City.

By providing at least 21 flavors and 40 toppings, the words “frozen yogurt” or rather “froyo” will quickly become synonymous with FrozenPeaks. The city’s froyo shop will “be a popular attraction for residents and visitors,” said Chetan Yavasani, one of the company’s founders. “It’s the perfect place for an afternoon snack and a great place to go for dessert after eating at your favorite restaurant.”

FrozenPeaks is a self-serve frozen yogurt shop with flavors for everyone’s dietary needs and taste bud preferences. “We value our customers,” said Jay Mena, another founding partner. “We want each customer to have enjoyable experiences at FrozenPeaks.”

The frozen yogurt industry is experiencing rapid growth. Revenues from frozen yogurt increased during the past five years and are expected to continue to rise this year. In 2011, the self-serve share of the frozen yogurt market rose to 20.7 percent. “The frozen yogurt industry is an excellent option for entrepreneurs looking to be apart of an already established brand,” stated Ron Cohen, one of the partners at FrozenPeaks. “We’ve been very successful in New Jersey & Brooklyn and we feel that now is the time to bring the brand to New York City.”

New Yorkers are definitely in for a treat when they step inside FrozenPeaks. Another business partner, Victor, states, “I want new and returning customers to feel excited every time they visit.” The key to the excitement can be found in the décor and the freedom for customers to create any froyo masterpieces their hearts desire. “FrozenPeaks is very welcoming, the shop’s bright colors just shout fun and imagination.” There is no doubt that FrozenPeaks is going to bring new life to the New York City frozen yogurt market. “We want to bring the FrozenPeaks experience to the greatest retail market in the world,” said Victor. “We feel this would be a great proving ground for what has been a very successful first year in New Jersey & Brooklyn. This will be the first of many locations in Manhattan.”
