Avectra Launches The Avectra Foundation To Expand Future Corporate Philanthropic Activities

New Not-for-Profit Entity Launched during Ninth Annual Avectra Users and Developers Conference

Avectra is proud to announce the launch of this foundation to support many of the great organizations out there that rely on donations to support the services they provide to their constituents

Avectra, a leading web-based Social CRM developer of web-based member and donor-based software for associations and not-for-profits, today announced the launch of The Avectra Foundation, a new charitable initiative to fund worthy -philanthropic causes. The announcement was made during the ninth annual Avectra Users and Developers Conference (AUDC) being held at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort in Orlando, from March 3-5, 2013.

The Avectra Foundation is empowered to engage in philanthropic, volunteerism and grant-making activities for the good of the communities located primarily where Avectra conducts business. The Avectra Foundation will also accept donations for the purpose of distributing those funds to qualifying organizations.

The Foundation will give special consideration to organizations who can demonstrate a successful track record in moving young adults into the work force, equipped with the life and technology skills they need to compete and succeed. Areas of funding and resources can include, but are not limited to:

  •     Technology Education
  •     Mentoring
  •     Personal Development
  •     Job Preparation and Placement
  •     Internships
  •     Life Skills

The Avectra Foundation was the next logical step for us to provide support to these organizations.”

Year Up of the National Capital Region, based in Arlington, Va., has benefited from Avectra’s give-back philosophy. Year Up is a one-year, intensive training program that provides urban young adults, ages 18-24, with a combination of hands-on skill development, college credits, and corporate internships.

As a technology company they really understand the importance of well-skilled entry level workers. This insight makes them a perfect fit for our mission here at Year Up, which is to close the Opportunity Divide for our nation’s urban young adults.
