Digital Communications Platform For Improving Access to City Services Taps Award-Winning Agency for Integrated Public Relations

Bateman Group, an award-winning integrated public relations and social media communications firm, announced today that PublicStuff, the digital communications platform for improving access to city services, has selected the firm to serve as its public relations agency of record, effective immediately. With this win, Bateman Group expands its Social Good practice focused on companies offering innovative products and services that tackle social and environmental issues and anchored by longtime client Recyclebank.

Bateman Group was engaged to increase awareness of the PublicStuff platform and brand. The agency will support the company through strategic communications programs targeting its principal audiences of consumers and municipalities nationwide. Day-to-day responsibilities include corporate communications counsel; ongoing messaging work; executive thought leadership campaigns; regional media programs spanning print, online, radio and broadcast; and ongoing outreach to general business, technology, consumer and government media outlets and bloggers. Tyler Perry, a senior vice president based in Brooklyn and a Bateman veteran, will lead the team with Account Manager Audrey Sahl, also based in Brooklyn.

“At PublicStuff, we strive to give residents direct access to city services using the devices they already use every day and work closely with local governments to create a unique mobile experience designed with their citizens in mind,” said Lily Liu, CEO, PublicStuff. “Bateman Group will help us to take our message about the transformative impact digital communications can have on our relationship with local government to a much wider audience as we bring PublicStuff to even more communities nationwide.”

“Applying digital communications creates a more intimate dialogue between citizens and city leaders that not only improves the physical infrastructure of our cities, but also encourages more people to take part in the change necessary to create happier, healthier communities.” said Tyler Perry, senior vice president, Bateman Group. “This benefit is extremely motivating to our team and is precisely what we look for when considering clients for our Social Good practice.”
