The Atlanta, GA based Hit-Air Equestrian USA and its parent company PEDCO, LLC have announced that they have opened a new online retailer for the Hit-Air brand of air-bag safety apparel for both Equestrian and Motorcycle enthusiasts. The Hit-Air safety apparel has been available on the mainland for eight years. It is now available in Hawaii. The new online retailer will offer the full line of Hit-Air equestrian and motorcycle models at http://www.hitairhawaii.com.

Ms. Tracy Dunstone is the owner of this new online store. Ms Dunstone has been involved in the equestrian sport for more than twenty years having owned her first horse as a teenager. She turned out to be a "natural" in that she needed no formal training. Last year Tracy was thrown off her horse and narrowly avoided serious injury. She decided to look for safety apparel and found the Hit-Air apparel. Tracy owns a Tennessee Walker that she brought over from the mainland. She is a member of the Wheeler Saddle Club. Her husband is an Army M.D. so she will make discounts available to military personnel.

Hit-Air motorcycle jackets (and vests) are "personal wearable airbags" that incorporates an airbag system that inflates in one quarter second for certain models and as fast as .09sec for the Advantageā„¢ Equestrian model. When the rider is accidentally ejected from a motorcycle or horse the airbag inflates to protect the neck, torso and hip. For the jackets also incorporates CE certified armor to protect the shoulders, elbows, and the spine.

Activation is simple and automatic. A coiled wire is attached to the motorcycle (or saddle) and the jacket (or vest). Once the rider and the motorcycle (or horse) are separated, the coiled wire pulls a "key" out of a gas release system and inert gas inflates the air bag. The inflated jacket or vest provides the necessary impact protection. After a few seconds the gas is automatically released through the gas release valve. The airbag apparel are reusable by replacing the CO2 cartridge.

Rueben Jackson, PEDCO, LLC's CEO, notes, "Motorcycling and horse back riding is very popular in Hawaii due to the year round perfect weather but many accidents happen as well in both motorcycle and equestrian sports. Hit Air provides the peace of mind that if an accident does occur the rider is protected with the best safety technology available.

Hit-air has been featured in news stories about its safety benefits in several major cities including Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Los Angeles, California. We believe that the market for innovative safety gear is exhibiting rapid growth in the power sports industry and has equal value for the equestrian industry. We examined several airbag safety jackets brands and decided to select Hit-Air as our preferred product because of its long history and it offers consumers the best value in terms of product quality, ease of use, and attractive styling." He also added: "Because of the serious nature of the inherit danger in these sports the marketing of this product is our profession and not a hobby".

PEDCO, LLC is the oldest and most experienced distributor of airbag apparel in North America, being the distribution leader since 2006.
