London Tech start-­‐ups lead the UK charge at SxSW 2013

London, 4th February 2013 –Against a background of significant international competition and zondle, two London based on-­‐line start-­‐ups, have been selected as finalists in the Interactive and LAUNCHedu presentations at SxSW Interactive and SxSWedu commencing this week.

Both zondle and have also been selected to join the UKTI mission to SxSW, which helps UK companies connect successfully with potential business partners, launch and promote their products and increase their export sales in the USA. The UK presence at SxSW is the largest after the domestic attendance. ( – the online tool that gives users the ability to combine content and video, viewable on demand, has been selected as one of only 48 finalists, and one of only two UK companies, in the prestigious SxSW Accelerator.

zondle ( -­‐ the games based learning web and mobile platform that enables teachers, parents and students to create, play and share games to enhance learning is the only UK company amongst the 24 finalists for LAUNCHedu at SxSWedu, the premiere destination for showcasing innovative startup education products and services.

Zondle as been confirmed as one of the 24 startups (both for-profit and nonprofit) who raced through 3-minute pitches on Tuesday to become LAUNCHedu finalists.

SxSW is the fastest growing trade event in the digital space, attendance at the Interactive festival exceeded over 25,000 in 2012. It is the space where Twitter was launched and is the essential market place for digital business, especially those in social media. Last year, SXSW matched over $500million in venture capital funding to new businesses attending.
