Colliers International is selling a 70 bed care home development in Fleet

The Healthcare team at Colliers International is marketing a large care development opportunity in Fleet, Hampshire. Once the redevelopment is completed the property will provide a modern care home facility in Fleet providing 70 single ensuite bedrooms over three floors.

The care development opportunity is being offered on a flexible basis with three options. The first option is to acquire the property on a new lease agreement. The second is to purchase the property at turnkey, with the opportunity to influence the layout and finish of the home. The final option is to purchase the development site outright with the benefit of full planning permission.

Rachel McCarthy, Director in the Healthcare team at Colliers International commented: “Our research shows there is a shortage of care beds in this area - in particular those providing dementia care. Therefore a new state of the art care facility could help to address this and meet the needs of the local elderly population. In addition, this is an affluent location and the site has a prominent roadside position, both of which are important factors for a new flagship care home.”

The site, measuring circa 0.9 acres currently houses two vacant office buildings which will be demolished as part of the redevelopment. The property is set within a mainly residential area and is within walking distance of Fleet town centre.
