Forum will focus on challenges in the energy industry.

Six attorneys from Steptoe & Johnson PLLC will be featured speakers at a seminar hosted by the North Dakota Law Symposium. The forum is part of the North Dakota Law Review’s Energy Law Lecture Series.

Lori A. Dawkins, Karen E. Kahle, John J. Meadows, R. Neal Pierce, Denielle Stritch and Philip D. Vasquez will present legal insight into both domestic and international energy issues. These presentations are a part of the firm’s ongoing law shaping program aimed at influencing the future of energy law critical to the development of unconventional shale resources.

“This series of lectures will give those advising businesses in the Bakken and other mid-continent plays, a look at the challenges faced in that region from government and legislative issues, to title work to mineral rights,” said Sharon O. Flanery, Chair of the firm’s Energy Department.

The event will take place on March 14 and 15, 2013, at the Ramada Bismarck Hotel and Conference Center in Bismarck, ND. There is no charge to attend the symposium.
