Contract is offered through National IPA to Participating Agencies Nationwide

The City of Tucson’s competitively solicited and awarded contract with Toter provides outstanding quality and exceptional value for public agencies nationwide.

Toter, a division of Wastequip, was recently awarded a national cooperative contract by the City of Tucson, Arizona. The contract is offered nationwide through the National Intergovernmental Purchasing Alliance (National IPA).

National IPA is a national cooperative purchasing organization that works with public agencies – including governments, educational institutions and non-profit agencies – to competitively solicit national contracts for aggregated use. Participating agencies can enter into cooperative purchasing agreements with National IPA vendors, streamlining the contracting process by eliminating the need to bid the contract. There is no cost for agencies to participate and utilize the contracts available through National IPA.

Through the contract, Toter offers National IPA participants the ability to purchase refuse and recycling carts. The contract also provides participants with options to ensure that their individual agency requirements and needs are met. The contract award is for three years with the option to extend to five years. Toter held the previous cooperative contract by the City of Tucson for a five-year term that began in December 2007.

“The City of Tucson’s competitively solicited and awarded contract with Toter provides outstanding quality and exceptional value for public agencies nationwide” said Ken Heckman, vice president of National IPA. “We are pleased to continue our successful partnership with Toter.”
