Brookfield Homes Hawaii is now offering a collection of new cottage style homes at KaMilo at Mauna Lani Resort. The Cottages at KaMilo will be the only detached new homes priced under $1,000,000 at the world-famous Big Island resort.

Hawaii new home builder Brookfield Homes Hawaii is now offering a new collection of cottages at KaMilo at Mauna Lani Resort. The single level, detached cottage style homes, are anticipated to start from the high $700,000’s, are the only detached new homes priced under one million dollars at Mauna Lani Resort.

According to Brookfield Hawaii Marketing Manager Carrie Gorospe, the Cottages were introduced to accommodate the growing demand from mainland buyers for smaller homes that do not compromise privacy, location, or lifestyle.

“The Cottages at KaMilo are similar to the pocket neighborhood concept, with smaller cottage style homes designed around a common courtyard. What makes the Cottages at KaMilo unique from a pocket neighborhood is that residents have access to Big Island resort living that includes world-class golf, beaches, shopping, and dining. Residents also enjoy a private recreation area that includes two pools, two spas, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and gathering hale. We truly believe that the Cottages at KaMilo offer the best of both worlds,” says Gorospe.

Each cluster of cottages features four detached homes built around an intimate, semi-private courtyard. The community, which was recently featured on an episode of HGTV's Hawaii Life, now offers two bungalow style floor plans to choose from. Each three bedroom, three bathroom home includes dual master suites to maximize privacy, a designer kitchen with island, stainless steel appliances, a great room with vaulted ceilings and access to a private covered lanai.

“Our primary buyers will be empty nesters, retirees and even young families who do not require excessive square footage and desire a home offering privacy in a beautiful island setting with elegant design features. For them, the true luxury is the lifestyle,” says Gorospe.

The builder will unveil the first cottage model homes at KaMilo in late Spring 2013, but is offering private tours of homes currently under construction for a limited time. Buyers can schedule an appointment virtually or in person to find out more about locking in pre-construction pricing, home site availability, and delivery dates.

In addition to the cottages, the community also features detached and paired homes that range from approximately 1,653 to 2,491 square feet.
