Group Personal Training

In two weeks, Smart Group Training co-founders Jared Woolever and Steve Long will make an appearance at the Elite Training Workshop in Napa, California. The event, which will take place on March 23rd, brings together leading experts in the fitness community.

Hosted at Jeff and Tiffany Larson’s Fitness Revolution franchise location in Napa, CA, the Elite Training Workshop will feature five personal trainers who will give presentations on different aspects of the fitness industry.

“By bringing together top fitness professionals, we hope to help other personal trainers hone their craft and expand their business reach,” says Fitness Consulting Group CEO Pat Rigsby. “Fitness Consulting Group believes in the benefits of group training, and that’s why we are so happy to have Smart Group Training on board.”

Founded in 2012 by Jared Woolever and Steve Long, Smart Group Training is a company dedicated to teaching personal trainers about the field of group and semi-private personal training.

The organization’s founders frequently write free blog posts on their website, offer information products, and appear at live events. All of the company’s materials reflect their desire to help fitness professionals incorporate group training concepts into their training.

“After working as personal trainers for a long time, Jared and I realized that the group training model was ideal, but it needed tweaking,” Steve Long says. “It is indeed possible to provide a personalized, individualized experience in a group setting, but most people don’t know how.”

With that in mind, Long and Woolever joined forces to combine their unique perspectives in the service of improving the quality of small group training sessions throughout the fitness industry.

“What a group training model offers is the possibility of reaching more clients, but it is up to the trainers to take the steps necessary to ensure that the standard they hold themselves to in one on one training is maintained in a group setting,” says Long.

At the Elite Training Workshop in Napa, California, Long and Woolever plan on giving a detailed overview of how they help to ensure that their group training sessions match the caliber of their other offerings.

Joining the duo at the event will be combat sports strength and conditioning specialist Joel Jamieson, resistance band training guru Dave Schmitz, and bodybuilder and elite gym owner Tyler English.

“We couldn’t be more proud to join this diverse group of fitness experts,” Jared Woolever says.

Long and Woolever will give their presentation covering topics in small group and semi-private personal training on Saturday, March 23rd at the Elite Training Workshop in Napa, California. The event is hosted by the Fitness Consulting Group.
