I am very honored that CloudOne is being recognized in this way.

CloudOne (http://OnCloudOne.com), the world leader in cloud delivery of IBM Software as a Service (SaaS), announced today that its CEO, John McDonald, has been named an IBM Champion for the third consecutive year.
The IBM Champion program (http://ibm.com/developerworks/champion), hosted by IBM developerWorks, recognizes exceptional contributors to the technical community -- clients and partners who work alongside IBM to build solutions for a smarter planet. For Rational, IBM Champions are clients or partners who lead and mentor their peers and motivate them toward our software solutions and services. Champions can be found running user groups, managing websites, speaking at conferences, answering questions in online forums, and writing blogs, submitting wiki articles, sharing how-to videos, and writing technical books.
“I am very honored that CloudOne is being recognized in this way,” said John McDonald, Chief Executive Officer of CloudOne. “CloudOne has prided itself on being a leader in the software and systems development community for IBM. One way we show this is by supporting the developers who use IBM tools every day, through user groups, organizations and standards bodies.”
John McDonald spent 20 years as an executive and leader at IBM, including leading technical sales for IBM’s Rational software brand for North and South America. Over the years he built many of IBM’s technical sales processes and teams, and now is leading CloudOne through it’s startup phase into leadership in our industry. He was previously recognized as an IBM Champion in 2011 and 2012, and serves on the Industrial Advisory Board for the Department of Computer and Information Technology at Purdue University, and is a member of the steering committee for the Customer Cloud Standards Council. He is a featured blogger for the Global IBM Rational User Group, and serves on the advisory board of IBM DeveloperWorks. He received AS and BS degrees in Computer Information Systems from Purdue University in 1995.
CloudOne created partner-delivered Software-as-a-Service and Virtual Private Clouds for IBM software tools. Today they are the world leader in cloud-based managed software tool services for IBM. They help organizations of all sizes, all over the world, make their infrastructure work on-demand.
They speed the deployment of IBM technologies with no up-front capital, so you “pay as you go” on a monthly subscription. You save money on infrastructure, staffing and configuration costs, create a dynamic, elastic environment, and facilitate global collaboration, visibility and consistency.
