Iconic Southern California Resort Celebrates 90 Years with a Special Room Package, Historical Tours and Heritage Cocktails

Ojai Valley Inn & Spa

Since 1923, the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, a luxurious 220-acre resort just 73 miles northwest of Los Angeles, has hosted discerning guests including Hollywood celebrities, internationally famous musicians and American Presidents. From March 1 to December 31, 2013, in honor of its 90th anniversary, the Inn will offer a special 90-Year Legacy Package that includes a $90 resort credit, a complimentary room upgrade, a gourmet chocolate welcome amenity and two complimentary heritage cocktails such as a Sidecar, Grasshopper or Great Gatsby. Room rates start at $339 per night for two-night-minimum stays Sunday through Thursday.

Famed architect Wallace Neff designed the Ojai Valley Inn in the traditional Spanish Colonial style and renowned golf course architect George C. Thomas, Jr. designed a course that was hailed as “the cream of Southern California courses.” During its 90th anniversary year, the resort will pay homage to its storied past with guided historical tours of the original building and golf course, displays of historic memorabilia and a menu of cocktails from a bygone era. In June 2013, a lavish coffee-table book on the resort’s history will be published.
