Houston, TX (PRWEB) March 14, 2013
Houston-headquartered metal building manufacturer and distributor, Whirlwind Steel Buildings, recently manufactured a multi-building structure for the Lufkin, TX-based Naranjo Museum of Natural History.
The project comprised three buildings, the first of which measures 100’ by 25’ by 14’ and features a 1:12 roof slope, a Super Seam II Galvalume roof and “Light Stone”-colored Super Span X wall paneling. The second building runs 100’ by 50’ by 31’ with a 4:12 roof slope and, at its peak, boasts a vertical clear from the finished floor to the bottom of the rafter, while the third unit measures 100’ by 25’ by 14’ with a 1:12 slope. Both units also feature Super Seam II roofs in Galvalume and Super Span X wall panels in “Light Stone”.
Whirlwind Steel partnered with Lufkin-area contractor Gary Bolt, of Gary Bolt Construction Inc., to produce the unique metal building complex. Whirlwind President Ty Sturdivant was excited about the opportunity to produce a unique building system for the job, saying, “We always enjoy manufacturing innovative metal buildings and building systems, and this project was no exception. Whirlwind is extremely pleased to help develop a creative and practical solution to fit Naranjo Museum of Nartural History’s unique building requirements.”
