The award was announced at DHEC’s 11th Annual Diabetes/Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Winter Symposium in Myrtle Beach on March 9, 2013. This exclusive award is presented to a hospital that has made significant contributions in quality of care for patients with cardiovascular disease and stroke. Only one South Carolina hospital is selected annually.
“We have worked hard to ensure that we are providing quality care to our cardiovascular and stroke patients,” said Bill Masterton, CEO of Piedmont Medical Center. “Receiving this award confirms that we are making strides in offering appropriate treatments for our patients.
