St. Louis-based financial wellness firm answers growing demand for workplace retirement education

Financial Education Without a Sales Pitch

employers are now realizing how much their employees are struggling

Four Seasons Financial Education today announced it has expanded its financial wellness programs to include custom-tailored 401(k) education. This is in response to the firm's growing demand for retirement education in the workplace. According to the firm's President, Travis Freeman, they have experienced an influx of requests focused solely on this area.

"Over 50% of the companies contacting us today are requesting 401(k) and retirement education as the main focus of their financial wellness program," says Freeman. "We think employers are now realizing how much their employees are struggling on the topic of retirement. People aren't prepared for retirement and this can really affect the bottom line of the business."

Four Seasons also cites a reason for the increased demand is due to a lack of unbiased education from 401(k) providers, especially those that produce their own investment products. Employers are now seeking independent third parties to provide the primary retirement plan education, as well as overall retirement education on savings strategies, longevity, and Social Security. Four Seasons expects this trend to continue throughout the US as the baby boom generation enters into retirement.
