We believe and respect the mind-body connection. It’s about understanding what ails you. It’s about listening to how you feel – and developing a comprehensive and non-invasive treatment plan to help you take on life and live it fully.
Richmond, VA (PRWEB) March 18, 2013
Dr. Joel Backer is pleased to announce the opening of his new women’s health clinic in the Richmond Medical Park. Westhampton Health & Wellness, located at 2000 Bremo Road in Suite 205A, offers a comprehensive menu of medical and aesthetic services.
“Westhampton Health & Wellness is dedicated to treating the whole woman,” Backer said. “We believe and respect the mind-body connection. It’s about understanding what ails you. It’s about listening to how you feel – and developing a comprehensive and non-invasive treatment plan to help you take on life and live it fully.”
Backer offers complete gynecological care (including annual well woman exams), assistance in dealing with urinary incontinence and pelvic pain through biofeedback treatments, bioidentical hormone treatments, sexual health counseling, family planning, and adolescent and menopausal health care.
Backer, a 1996 graduate of the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond and fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, made his career in keeping women as healthy as possible, from the inside out.
“The most important aspect of health is prevention,” Backer said. “Women must be happy with themselves, comfortable in how they look, and living healthy lifestyles in order to maximize health.”
They also must be in tune with what’s going on with their whole body, and not just the symptom of an ailment.
Backer is also trained in medical aesthetics and offers an array of cosmetic procedures, including dermal fillers, Hydrafacials, Botox and a complete line of skin care products. Westhampton Health & Wellness will also refer to and bring in approved health coaches, nutritionists and personal trainers.
“I’m from Richmond,” Backer said, “and it’s exciting to bring my family back here and help women take control of their health and well being.”
