The founder of, Jason Kay, notes that the site is intended to provide a practical and much-needed service—and that it is able to do so better than ever with its updated look and its new set of features. “The site was launched to provide folks with templates for writing their personal statements,” remarks Kay. “By using a template, applicants can make sure that their personal statements are professionally-structured and well-presented. Indeed, now offers more samples than ever before. Users can browse the list of templates on the site, including samples for such common admissions questions as “Why do you want to attend medical school?” There are templates available to meet the specific requirements of different kinds of colleges and universities, and also to reflect different admissions criteria.

The site has been improved in other ways, too. Kay notes
that the sleek and intuitive redesign makes it easier than ever for users to locate the products and services they need. The site now comes with a blog, offering general tips and guidelines on the personal statement writing process. There are also links to additional resources, such as proofreading and editing companies.

“In the end, the goal of the redesign is to make our site better-equipped to address the needs of those going through the often-rigorous admissions process,” concludes Kay. “Generating a strong personal statement is vitally important, yet it can also prove difficult; that’s why we are continually refining and expanding our services, to provide college and university applicants with a solid foundation for their personal essays.”
