Today, Mayor Rahm Emanuel in partnership with Retrofit Inc. announced Retrofit (http://www.RetrofitMe.com) will move its national headquarters to downtown Chicago, IL, a move that will lead to the doubling of its staff.

Retrofit is a data-driven weight management company, dedicated to long-term weight loss for working professionals. Retrofit provides an innovative year-long program that includes wireless monitoring of a client’s weight, activity and sleep, as well as private lessons with a registered dietitian, exercise physiologist, and behavior coach.

Job creation and the attraction of corporate headquarters to Chicago are central to Mayor Emanuel’s economic blueprint. Today’s announcement marks the 12th corporate headquarters relocation to Chicago and over the 50th technology company to commit to creating jobs for Chicagoans during Mayor Emanuel’s administration.
Retrofit, the weight loss program for busy professionals, is designed to deliver lasting results. Its innovative year-long program includes wireless monitoring of a client’s weight, activity and sleep, as well as private lessons with a registered dietitian, exercise physiologist, and behavior coach. Retrofit raised $8 million in a Series A financing led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ), bringing the total investment in Retrofit to $10.7 million.
