George Washington University School of Business Partners with Pearson to Launch Globally Competitive Online MBA Program

Partnership with Pearson includes course development, digital content, and instructional design services

The George Washington University’s School of Business (GWSB) today announced a partnership with the world's leading education company, Pearson to develop and deliver courses for the new GWSB Digital Community MBA. This new program is among the first of many innovative online business school degree programs that are being offered in the increasingly competitive global online MBA market.

George Washington University is the largest institution of higher education in the District of Columbia, serving more than 20,000 students—from all 50 states, the District and more than 130 countries. Located blocks from The White House, the State Department and major global institutions, the George Washington School of Business (GWSB) is a recognized education leader with a wide array of academic and professional offerings providing rich opportunities for its students.

“Our digital community is going to take the values this school is built on and translate them into a learning experience for students from around the world who care about studying business in its social context,” said Doug Guthrie, Dean of the George Washington University School of Business. “This suite of new programs will help GWSB draw globally for ideas and bring a deeper learning experience to our students. We partnered with Pearson because they are experts in their field, helping us reach our goals.”

GWSB’s Digital Community, in partnership with Pearson includes 44 six-week graduate level online courses and six pre-MBA prep courses.

The Global Professional MBA program began in spring 2013 with four courses:

  •     Judgment, Uncertainty and Decisions
  •     Data Analysis and Decisions
  •     Global Perspectives
  •     Business Ethics

All courses for the program will be available by September 2014.

This partnership is the latest demonstration of our commitment to providing our educational partners with effective services that drive students’ academic and workforce achievement.”
