The Association of Independent Information Professionals (http://www.AIIP.org), an organization representing more than 500 research and information professionals worldwide, will announce the results of the organization’s 2013 election results for new Board members at the group’s 27th Annual Conference, held this year in Denver, Colorado, April 3rd – April 7th.
Among the four days of high-profile speakers, powerful educational programs, vendor training and valuable networking opportunities for attendees of the Association of Independent Information Professionals annual confab, promoted this year under the banner “Rocky Mountain Recharge” (http://www.aiip.org/aiipconference/2013-rocky-mountain-recharge-2013-aiip-conference) , the incoming board members will formally accept their positions on April 6, 2013 during the annual conference held at the Denver Westin Hotel.
The newly elected Board members include:
President-Elect: Connie Clem. Clem owns and operates Clem Information Strategies (http://www.cleminfostrategies.com), a company that offers intelligence services, such as communication analysis, outreach plans, and virtual communications services. She is the outgoing Chair of the AIIP Website Administration Committee and was the recipient of the 2009 AIIP President’s Award for her work on that committee.
Director-at-Large, Marketing, Web, and Communications: Charlene Burke. Burke is the founder of Search by Burke (http://www.searchbyburke.com), a full service online marketing agency. Her services include social media marketing, website design, search engine optimization, and market research. She is the former Chair of the AIIP Directory Committee and currently chairs the Website Revision Committee.
Treasurer: Marilyn Harmacek. Harmacek is an information strategist and owner of MHC Info Solutions (http://www.mhcinfosolutions.com). Her business focus is on research, strategy, and management. She was named Interim Treasurer of AIIP in 2012.
