Lajollacooks4u, a San Diego hands-on culinary cooking company, is collaborating with Chef Samantha Rees to introduce an evening of gourmet fromage, fantastic wines and fabulous tapas.

Chef Samantha’s extensive cheese knowledge has made her a much sought after expert who consults with local San Diegan restaurants and wine bars on how to best build a cheese and wine menu.

“Chef Samantha and I have been working together for over the past year and half,” said Chef Jodi Abel, founder and owner of Lajollacooks4u. “We wanted to offer something unique that would reach many locals in the San Diego area,” Abel said. Abel added that people want the opportunity to have a true hands-on experience when taking a cooking class and offering a pairing of four wine and cheese choices allows everyone to eat, drink and cook.

The first Wine & Cheese Pairing and Tapas Class will be offered on Thursday, May 2nd from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Registration is directly through Lajollacooks4u web site.

The Tapas menu includes a fabulous selection of Paprika Shrimp with Citrus Slaw, Argentinian Beef Skewers with Chimichurri Sauce, Eggplant Rollups with Goat Cheese and Pesto Spread, and all complemented with Rosemary & Sea Salt Flat Bread. Dessert, in the form of Lemon Curd and Berries in Mini Shooters and Brown Butter Cookies will conclude the event. All participants will take home a menu and recipe booklet. Space is limited
