LOREX Technology Inc. (LOREX), the leader in DIY security video solutions for consumers and small businesses, unveils its line of 960H (960x480) Resolution Digital Video Recorders (DVR), the newest addition to its VANTAGE product line of surveillance solutions. LOREX’s 960H is the first digital video recorder to bridge the gap between standard resolution closed-circuit television (CCTV) options and pricier high definition surveillance solutions.

LOREX’s 960H DVR solution offers a happy medium between standard CCTV resolution and HD – higher quality, detailed, sharper images without the high cost of HD. The 960H offers 34 percent higher resolution recording than standard D1 resolution (720x480) and over five times more than CIF (360x240), resulting in sharper video and a more true-to-life aspect ratio and rendered in a format that is compatible with wide screen TVs and monitors, eliminating the stretch effect that is common with legacy systems. Building on the success of LOREX’s connectivity platform, the 960H solutions support free remote connectivity on iOS, Android, PC and MAC as well as HDMI output for convenient connection to HD TVs within the home.

“In this tight economy, consumers and small business owners have to make difficult financial choices, and they shouldn’t have to compromise on quality,” said Martin Worndl, Senior Vice President of Product Development at LOREX. “The 960H DVR solution will become the standard for affordable surveillance.”

LOREX 960H solutions are available online from select retailers and on the LOREX website. For more information and to download the fact sheet, visit http://www.lorextechnology.com/.
