Comic Relief is a UK charity that works hard to support some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and around the world – their goal is to strive for “a just world free from poverty”. To drive change, Comic Relief award grants to organisations that help individuals and communities, they have supported many projects that have vitally improved people’s long-term future. The continued fundraising for Comic Relief raises the much appreciated and needed cash for these valuable projects.
Fircroft employees put on their red noses, fancy dress costumes and dressed in red to support this year’s Red Nose Day. Steve Whiston, Recruitment Manager, dressed as an aeroplane pilot, said: “We have had a wonderful day, this is a fantastic opportunity for the UK Fircroft offices to come together and raise money for this valuable charity." Many employees also took part in the “bake off”, bringing in cakes and treats to be sold for a donation. In total, Fircroft raised over £1500 for Red Nose Day 2013.
Director, Thomas Young said: “Comic Relief is such a great charity and we really wanted to get involved in some way. Raising over £1500 for Red Nose Day is a fantastic achievement, thank you to everyone at Fircroft Recruitment who has got involved and contributed in some way."
