The New Jersey office of the international law firm, Greenberg Traurig LLP announced the elevation of four attorneys to shareholder and two attorneys to of counsel positions. The new shareholders in New Jersey include Joseph Agostino, Intellectual Property & Technology; Jason Kislin, Litigation; Michael J. Loesberg, Corporate & Securities; and David E. Sellinger, Litigation.
Firmwide, 44 attorneys were elevated to shareholder and 18 to of counsel positions. Reflecting the firm's diversified platform and wide-ranging legal experience, the new 2013 class represents more than 20 different locations and key areas of practice, including Business Reorganization & Financial Restructuring, Corporate & Securities, Entertainment & Media, Health & FDA Business, Intellectual Property & Technology, Litigation, Real Estate and Tax.
Joseph Agostino, elevated from of counsel, concentrates his practice in intellectual property law. He prepares and prosecutes U.S. and foreign patent applications, U.S. and foreign trademark applications, and copyright applications. He conducts various intellectual property investigations, and negotiates and drafts various types of agreements relating to the transfer and licensing of intellectual property. Agostino handles various intellectual property disputes, including trademark opposition proceedings, patent and trademark litigation, and domain name disputes. He is involved in various organizations and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame.
Jason Kislin, elevated from associate, focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation on behalf of clients in a wide variety of industries. He has significant experience with class action defense, business litigation, shareholder litigation, restrictive covenants, employment litigation, real estate litigation and alternative dispute resolution. As a former New Jersey Chancery Division Law Clerk, Kislin also has significant experience regarding applications for injunctive and other equitable relief. Kislin is also actively involved in the firm's pro bono efforts.
Michael J. Loesberg, elevated from of counsel, focuses his practice on the representation of financial institutions in connection with asset-based lending and commercial lending transactions (including working capital and acquisition financing) as well as business reorganization and financial restructuring transactions (including debtor-in-possession and exit financing).
David E. Sellinger, elevated from of counsel, focuses his practice on complex civil litigation matters, including class action defense, and trial in federal and state courts. He has represented retailers, manufacturers and other product suppliers in consumer and employment class actions. He has over thirty years of litigation experience in which he has represented corporate and individual clients in a broad array of lawsuits. A former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Sellinger also represents clients in white collar criminal matters. He is a member of the Class Action Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and speaks and writes on class action topics.
The new of counsel attorneys in New Jersey include Marc C. Groves and Aaron Van Nostrand, both are in the Litigation Practice.
Marc C. Groves focuses his practice on general and complex litigation. His significant experience includes representing clients in virtually all phases of commercial, business and product liability litigation and class action defense in state and federal courts, with a practice emphasis on breach of contract, breach of warranty and fraud claims. Marc has also represented clients in alternate dispute resolution proceedings and pro bono cases in a wide variety of matters.
Aaron Van Nostrand focuses his practice on general and complex litigation on behalf of clients of all sizes. He has wide-ranging experience in commercial litigation and class action defense, as well as breach of contract, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty, product liability, real estate and oppressed shareholder litigation.
