Save Energy and Save Lives with World Water Day and Airconergy

In celebration of International World Water Day on March 22, Airconergy’s “Save Energy and Save Lives Campaign” will fund a new freshwater well for every 100 HVAC Smart Chips sold. Airconergy’s promotion takes place March 22 in cooperation with The company’s web sites go live March 21.

International World Water Day, a United Nations initiative, is held annually “as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.”

“Every sale of the HVAC Smart Chip enables us to support drop4drop in drilling wells, and every well provides fresh water for 2000 people,” said Barry Sanders, Vice President of Global Business Development for Airconergy. The $149 device is available worldwide from distributors and directly from the company.

Drop4drop is a global organization that gives “individuals and businesses the opportunity to offset their water consumption, delivering efficient and accountable clean water projects across the developing world.” Worldwide, approximately 1 billion people lack access to clean water.

“Drop4drop are delighted to be working in conjunction with Airconergy and the Save Energy Save Lives program,” said Sam Pyant, Charity Coordinator for drop4drop. “Airconergy have made the very generous pledge, through our life-changing water projects, to provide a child with fresh, clean drinking water for life for every product they sell. We are delighted to have them on board with the clean-water-for-all movement.”

The HVAC Smart Chip is designed for easy retrofit to residential and commercial HVAC systems, saving 12–20% on space heating and cooling. The device has been tested on leading manufacturers’ equipment, with energy savings verified by the California Energy Commission. AirConergy LLC distributes the HVAC Smart Chip worldwide.
