Providence, RI (PRWEB) March 21, 2013
The editors of MMJ Business Daily released today their exclusive six-year financial forecast for the US legal cannabis industry's retail sales. The data chart, which also includes past sales totals for 2011 and 2012 is available at http://mmjbusinessdaily.com/?p=11306.
MMJ Business Daily's 2013 sales estimate of $1.3-1.5 billion only includes medical marijuana sales at the retail level, as no other types of legal cannabis sales are actively available at retail today (Colorado and Washington State recreational sales are awaiting further in-state regulatory development prior to launch).
However, MMJ Business Daily's 2018 retail sales estimate of as much as $6 billion includes both medical marijuana and legal adult sales for recreational use.
Editor Chris Walsh notes, "There are some caveats to the projections. The near future of MMJ sales in several states such as California and Michigan is somewhat shaky. Additionally – and more importantly – the federal government has not yet clarified how it will respond to the recreational marijuana business in Colorado and Washington."
69 tables and charts of further cannabis industry financial data, market research, and state-by-state regulatory notes will be available in MMJ Business Daily's upcoming Marijuana Business Factbook, a 180-page research report due out next Monday March 25th.
