This is a win-win situation for the buyer/seller. We widen the buyer population for the seller, whilst simultaneously offer the buyer and direct door-to-door pickup solution.

CitizenShipper - an online shipping marketplace, has just added a new tool to its growing array of applications which aims to make life a little easier for eBay buyers trying to ship difficult-to-move items.

"Millions of items are sold on eBay each year, however a big problem revolves around how to ship the larger bulky items," says CEO Richard Obousy. "We've created a neat application that lets eBay users connect with thousands of feedback rated drivers going somewhere anyway." Obousy continues. "This means buyers can get bulky, hard to ship stuff delivered straight to their door."

As a new and dynamic marketplace, Citizenshipper connects people who need things shipped, with a vast network of name and address verified individuals who have the time and the equipment to actually perform the shipment. The company also promotes an impressive collection of safety features including background checks, telephone verification checks and even a social media profile verification. "We consider safety to be of the utmost importance," explains Obousy, "People need to have the confidence to use our site and so we've really placed a huge amount of emphasis on the security angle."

CitizenShipper's latest application allows eBay users the ability to install a widget in their eBay auctions, which provides buyers with a direct link to CitizenShippers shipping rate estimation tool. "Because we connect shipments with drivers going somewhere anyway, customers save up to 90% compared with more traditional shipping methods," says Obousy. "By providing buyers with a direct line to this low cost transportation network we make it easier for sellers to sell, and easier for buyers to get uncomplicated, door to door pick-up and delivery of their stuff.

CitizenShipper also believes that this will help broaden sellers by connecting US buyers with eBay local pick-up only auctions. "We've all seen stuff on eBay that looks like exactly what we're looking for, then notice those words Local Pickup Only," says Obousy. "Our application lets the buyer connect with a transportation provider who can actually do the local pickup for them," Obousy continues, "This is a win-win situation for the buyer/seller. We widen the buyer population for the seller, whilst simultaneously offer the buyer and direct door-to-door pickup solution."

As an incentive to use this widget, CitizenShipper is offering a financial incentive for the use of the new application. "sellers on eBay can join our affiliate program, and actually get paid to connect us with eBay buyers who need our drivers to delivery their goods," says Obousy. "For each completed shipment that's come from an eBay affiliate (an eBay seller who's installed the application) we're offering financial reward."
