Montalvo’s Plata scored 93 points to be named finalist for the Chairman’s Trophy

"Being named Finalist for the Ultimate Spirits Challenge Chairman's Trophy is a great honor for Montalvo Tequila," said Montalvo Tequila’s CEO Alex Viecco.

Montalvo Tequila, the award-winning tequila brand produced by Montalvo Spirits, Inc., (OTCQB: TQLA) (“Montalvo” or, the “Company”) is proud to accept the title of Finalist for the Ultimate Spirits Challenge Chairman's Trophy in the Tequila, Blanco category, having received a score of 93 points in the competition.

Judges declared Montalvo’s Plata “excellent” and “highly recommended.” They described it as “extremely mellow with a warm earthiness that balances out sweetgrass and smoke,” and recognized “a wonderful balance that lingers quite long.”

"Being named Finalist for the Ultimate Spirits Challenge Chairman's Trophy is a great honor for Montalvo Tequila, and we are grateful to have received such a fantastic score from a prestigious group of judges," said Montalvo Tequila’s CEO Alex Viecco. "We are especially proud of Montalvo’s exceptional level of quality, as we take great care to handcraft the tequila from start to finish, beginning with the selection of only the finest Lowland agaves.”

Led by UBC Founder and Judging Chairman F. Paul Pacult and Judging Co-Chairman Sean Ludford, the judges included many of the world’s most famous distilled spirits authorities, award-winning authors, spirits buyers, journalists, educators, bar owners and consultants. The judging panels rated the distillates on the 100-point scale, using USC’s innovative multilevel evaluation system, which renders the industry’s most unassailable results.
