The founders of Smart Group Training, a company created to improve the quality of small group and semi-private personal training in the fitness industry, have just given a landmark presentation at the Elite Training Workshop this past weekend in Napa, California.
Steve Long and Jared Woolever, who founded Smart Group Training in 2012, appeared at the event, which was held at Jeff and Tiffany Larson’s Fitness Revolution franchise location in Napa. The duo appeared alongside 3 other notable fitness professionals to help attendees grow their businesses.
“We hope that we were able to make valuable contributions alongside the other presenters at the event,” says Long. “Our goal was to teach people about how to take their group training to the next level.”
Founded in 2012 by Jared Woolever and Steve Long, Smart Group Training is a company dedicated to teaching personal trainers about the field of group and semi-private personal training.
The organization’s founders frequently write free blog posts on their website, offer information products, and appear at live events. All of the company’s materials reflect their desire to help fitness professionals incorporate group training concepts into their training.
“We believe that by focusing more individual attention on clients, personal trainers can enhance their small group training sessions,” Woolever says. “Personal training should still maintain a focus on assessing clients’ abilities and programming for their needs.”
At the Elite Training Workshop in Napa, California, Long and Woolever gave an overview of how they help to ensure that their group training sessions match the caliber of their other offerings.
Appearing alongside Long and Woolever at the event were combat sports strength and conditioning specialist Joel Jamieson, resistance band training guru Dave Schmitz, and bodybuilder and elite gym owner Tyler English.
“The event was an incredible opportunity for us to share our knowledge with other trainers eager to see group training reach its full potential,” Jared Woolever says.
Long and Woolever gave their presentation covering topics in small group and semi-private personal training Saturday, March 23rd at the Elite Training Workshop in Napa, California. The event was hosted by the Fitness Consulting Group.
