The Podium will no longer release a magazine, instead it will become an website with online news, interviews and features from all your favourite writers. The biggest change will be an online store with our own range of clothing.

In 2012, millions of people from around the world downloaded what became the most popular motor sports magazine in the world. First of all thank each and every one of our readers who visited either or in the past year and read content or downloaded the magazine.

The tough economic climate meant that The Podium Magazine struggled to get advertisers for the magazine and as the magazine was free to the end consumer, this meant that we struggled to make money, and this is what business is all about. If The Podium Magazine had had a pound for every issue downloaded the company would be a multi-million pound organisation, but The Podium Magazine decided to rely on adverts in order to produce a FREE magazine. This was perhaps the wrong business decision however 'The Podium' will not give up and customers are about to read about some exciting changes to how the business is run and how our readers can still enjoy 'The Podium' in more ways than one.

In February 2013 The Podium Magazine underwent major changes in order to take 'The Podium' to the next level and then use the same business model to release other websites covering things like motorcycling, athletics, football and more (not to mention the second book by our editor, Phil Woods and his co-author Steve Smith, due later this year, following up the successful 'Beat About the Bush - The Funny Side of English Language', look it up on Amazon for a great laugh).

So what are these changes?

1. There will no longer be a downloadable magazine called 'The Podium', however reading below, things change but 'The Podium' goes on.

2. However our talented writers will still be contributing to with stories, articles and interviews about your favourite motor sports, in fact later this week I have season previews from Eric Hall about Indy Car and Travis Barend about NASCAR, two of the biggest sports in America, so look out for those, they are of the best quality. Also our editor, Phil Woods will begin to write reviews, news and more interviews from Formula One in April.

3. The Podium's biggest change is and online shop, this store will enable customers to buy unique clothing from our new brand simply called 'Podium'. There will be T-Shirts, trousers, shirts, coats, caps and much more all connected to motor sport. Not only that, clients can even request individual designs, one off T-Shirts, made especially! All these will be a hugely competitive prices so that everyone can afford to wear an item of clothing from the latest fashion brand 'Podium'.

4. The Podium will be offering advertising on the website, however space is limited so get in quick and contact the editor, Phil Woods on 07835 193837

The Podium is confident that these changes will make 'The Podium' into a brand. The Podium is also confident that The Podium website will achieve a top ranking Motor Sport online.

All these changes will take place in April 2013 and are expected to be finished by the end of the month. Everyone at 'The Podium' is excited about the future, The Podium hope readers and customers are too.

Finally, I would like to thank all our writers from 2012 and those continuing in 2013. I also musn't forget Tom Webb from a Formula One Team for his help along the way by letting me interview at length some of the top drivers in the sport. We would also like to send special thanks to both Pippa Mann and Nic Hamilton, both of whom gave 'The Podium' the most popular and interesting interviews during 2012. Thank every reader for a great 2012 all and enjoy success in 2013.

The Podium will be back in full force in April. Keep visiting the website for updates as both IndyCar and NASCAR previews will be uploaded later this week and Phil Woods will be sharing his comments on the situation following the Malaysian GP.
