We were delighted to be involved with the Ideal Home Show once again this year.
London (PRWEB UK) 29 March 2013
Whether you have a substantial home project or want to add those finishing touches that make a house a home, this year’s Ideal Home Show has some fabulous ideas for updating your home whatever the budget. Based at Earls Court, London and now into its 105th year, the iconic British home show runs from 15th March to 1st April.
Contemporary luxury furniture company Go Modern based on the Kings road, Chelsea, has once again partnered with the show in loaning products from some of its wide range of designs.
One of the many popular features of the London show is the ‘Young Gardner of the Year’ competition, supported by the Prince's Foundation and visited by HRH Prince Charles. Silver winners this year were Writtle College from Essex with a design by a team of eight of their horticultural students and featuring the Selva chairs from Go Modern.
Director of Go Modern Tina Mahony commented: “We were delighted to be involved with the Ideal Home Show once again this year. Writtle College’s garden was superb and we loved the use of our Selva chairs being incorporated into the design. Their garden brought the tranquillity of the countryside’s natural landscape into the city, and the bespoke willow hedge they created was complemented beautifully by our Selva chairs which have a clever, sculpted, tree design incorporated into the backs.”
Also appearing at the show was one of Go Modern’s bio-ethanol fires, the World Fire by Decoflame, featuring in a set entitled ‘Elastic Living’ by the architect George Clarke.
The overall concept of 'Elastic Living' involved the idea of being able to move furniture from one room to another, inside or out. Commenting on the use of the World Fire in the set, Tina Mahony said: “This particular bio-ethanol fire was ideal for George to use as part of his set, as it is so easy to move from an inside room to the garden as and when you need to."
Made in Denmark, these ultra-modern, totally portable, bio-ethanol fires will easily heat any room and the real flames give out 7kw of heat, equivalent to an open fire and burning for up to six hours.
“We have been using these fires in both our Kings Road show room and our office this winter and we have loved them. In fact, the World Fire borrowed by George was the one we normally have to heat our office... and with the temperatures as they are at the moment we are definitely missing it - the team here are very much looking forward to its return as soon as the show is over!”
