Broadband, datacenter, and cloud services communications provider COMLINK announced a new, state of the art datacenter to house the company’s new Datasphere hosting and cloud business. As well as Medisphere, the company’s Medical Services Division. The Grand Rapids facility will officially open on April 24, 2013 with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

The move signals a significant advancement in the expanding strategy of COMLINK, the recently announced flagship brand of Great Lakes Comnet. The datacenter will complement the company’s 9,000-mile, six-state regional fiber network and substantially expand the capabilities it can provide to customers nationally and internationally.

The Grand Rapids datacenter, encased entirely in concrete, features redundant 800Kva MTU generators along with ActivePower dual flywheel UPS systems. These N+1 redundant systems ensure clean, efficient, uninterruptable power to every cabinet, customer, and application.

The datacenter’s capabilities are custom-designed to meet the high-performance infrastructure needs of our customers—from scalable collocation and hosting to private, public, and hybrid cloud services.
