We’re very proud to be named to the Constructech Top Products again this year. Our team puts a lot of hours and dedication into developing exactly what our clients need out of their technology.

The winners of the Constructech Top Products awards were chosen for providing technology solutions that have demonstrated outstanding innovations geared toward the commercial construction market. Products apply for the award and are evaluated on a variety of criteria, including the product’s overall usefulness and uniqueness to the construction industry. In addition, the editors also consider the customer growth rate during the past few years for that particular product.

“Developing the right strategy for technology selection is a vital decision. What are the must-have functionalities? What are the company’s goals for implementation? Once that plan is in place, a company can move on to execution,” says Peggy Smedley, editorial director, Constructech. “These 2013 commercial Top Products winners are solutions that can help bring IT strategy to fruition, taking a company to a whole new level.”

Having achieved an average annual growth rate of 130% since it’s inception in 2006, the SmartBidNet online construction software is quickly becoming general contractors’ preferred bid management solution. With a one-size-fits-all system, clients range from two man renovation shops to multinational contractors in the Middle East.

“We’re very proud to be named to the Constructech Top Products again this year. Our team puts a lot of hours and dedication into developing exactly what our clients need out of their technology. And we’re even more excited that fellow Construction Open Software Alliance member, eSUB, was on the list as well. We hope the recognition of our dedication to the end-user also supports the COSA initiative and draws more technology providers to our cause. I like to imagine a time when every Top Product is also a fellow COSA member and our solutions integrate for optimal efficiency for our end-users,” stated JB Knowledge, Technologies, Inc., makers of SmartBidNet, President, James Benham.

While SmartBidNet is a software for general contractors to manage their subs and bids, eSUB, Inc. is a software for subcontractors. The system provides a cloud-based project management, time card management, corporate management and bid tracking application for commercial subcontractors. Through open application standards developed behind the momentum of COSA, the two software will soon integrate and exchange data for a consistent flow of information from GC to sub.

“Delivering a solution specifically for subcontractors allows us to facilitate better communication and accountability to GCs,” says Wendy Rogers, President of eSUB. “We’re pleased to participate in the COSA objective of providing solutions that allow for seamless collaboration and communication at all levels in the construction cycle. This Top Product Award is our mandate to continue down this path.”

“We have reached a point in construction technology where words like mobile, BIM, and collaboration are no longer buzzwords. They are key, in-demand processes that contractors must implement in order to stay relevant,” says Mike Carrozzo, chief editor, Constructech. “The 2013 commercial Top Products can meet these demands, and give construction companies the ability to enhance their businesses.”
