HGH Infrared Systems and Barco Federal Systems co-exhibited recently at AUSA Winter in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. HGH is the maker of the IR Revolution™ 360, a 360 degree, long wave infrared camera. The camera has a high resolution of 12 megapixels and comes with unique detection software that tracks an unlimited number of threats in all directions. The software interface is easy to learn and intuitive, providing a clear display of the panoramic image as well as the ability to zoom on areas of interest. A powerful algorithm performs detection of targets in complex backgrounds.
Barco Federal Systems is the maker of visualization solutions, including a line of smart network displays and zero client technologies. At AUSA, the IR Revolution™ 360 integrated with a Barco SV-338 smart display to provide a clear, easy-to-use visual display of all thermal activity. The SV-338 combines a 15-inch, WUXGA high-bright/NVIS display with Intel’s third generation CoreTM i7 processor, high-performance GPU and advanced image processing functionality. Thanks to its compact footprint and extreme ruggedization, the SV-338 can be easily integrated into the confined spaces of wheeled and tracked military vehicles.
Combining these technologies is ideal for a vehicle application or inside a control room. A user can zoom in on the area of interest while opening separate view windows on parts of the screen. In a vehicle, the wide-screen display can present 180 degrees visibility in a single window to create an accurate geographic awareness. The IR Revolution™ 360 assimilated with Barco’s SV-338 provides great flexibility in accessing and displaying thermal imagery of events and intrusions in the 360-degree field of view.
