“My dad (Bob Ady) was a visionary. This was best demonstrated in the field of site location where over the past couple of years, he pulled together what is now well known as The Site Selectors Guild,” said Janet Ady, President/CEO, Ady Voltedge.

Bob Ady, former president of PHH Fantus (now part of Deloitte), former founder and co-managing director of World Business Chicago, and former owner and president of Ady International Company, passed away in July 2012. He was a widely recognized site selection expert and role model for many. Bob was also instrumental in growing site selection from a fledgling industry into the respected profession it is today. He located more facilities in the United States than any other individual, served as a mentor to countless professionals and started the prestigious Site Selectors Guild. Bob was constantly looking for opportunities to use his unique expertise for the benefit of economic development organizations.

“My dad was a visionary. He was adept at seeing his vision through to fruition. This was best demonstrated in the field of site location where over the past couple of years, he pulled together what is now well known as The Site Selectors Guild,” said Janet Ady, President/CEO, Ady Voltedge.

Ady Voltedge is already unique among entities serving the niche market of economic development organizations, spanning the suite of services from strategy, competitive positioning and implementation.

"Expanding our services to include corporate location strategy is a good fit for our firm," continued Janet.

This move complements the addition of Paul Hampton as Executive Vice President, December 2012, as he has brought a breadth of experience in site selection, location advisory services to economic development organizations, and business development to the organization.

“Paul has accelerated the firm’s work in bringing the site selector perspective to every aspect of the economic development marketing value chain,” said Janet. “In addition, he will be responsible for heading up our corporate location services practice area.”

About Ady Voltedge:

The main focus of Ady Voltedge is to help economic development organizations attract and grow business investment, and work with corporate clients to select locations that enhance operational competitiveness.

For our economic development clients, our goal is to help create positive growth, and we do that by providing strategy and implementation grounded in our knowledge of how businesses make location decisions. Most firms lack an understanding of the stakeholders they wish to influence: growing businesses, prospects, site selectors, labor, etc. Ady Voltedge has put together a team of professionals with diverse backgrounds for the purpose of bringing that understanding to our economic development clients. We boast expertise in data analysis, site selection, economic development, positioning, branding, and marketing implementation services.

Ady Voltedge also provides a full suite of corporate location strategy and site selection services to corporate clients. We believe that understanding corporate site selection makes us better equipped to provide strategy and implementation services to our EDO clients. Likewise because we provide economic strategy and implementation services we understand how important the relationship between place and business is. We work to find a "win-win" for our corporate clients: a location that supports unique operational needs and is aligned with local strengths to ensure long-term success.

Ady Voltedge's clients include economic development organizations (EDOs), utilities, state agencies and private companies.
