Learning begins when teaching ends. In math, science, and engineering, learning is a process driven by students’ own effort to acquire problem solving abilities. This is the most difficult and at the same time the most rewarding stage in education. In this stage, a student simultaneously obtains a deeper understanding of the fundamental concepts and connects this understanding to master the algorithmic aspect of problem solving. At each stage, the video asks a focused and pertinent question to identify the following step, asks students to do the computations for the step, checks students answer, gives correct/incorrect feedback to student, provides help to fix the mistake, asks the next question to identify the next step.
