“We are extremely happy to be carrying this line of amazing cameras,” says Undra McCoy, Commercial Security Manager for Interactive Systems. “We are in the process of completing a residential project using six Flir cameras, and I am completely blown away by this technology.”

Interactive Systems claims one of the biggest advantages of home security system equipped with a thermal imaging devices is they are able to see what the naked eye cannot. Equipped with advanced technology developed for law enforcement and search & rescue teams, Flir cameras go beyond the capabilities of your traditional security camera. A sophisticated video analytics system is built into each camera helping to reduce the likelihood of false alarms.

“The capabilities of the analytic software are hard to believe,” added McCoy. “In this application, for instance, our client lives in a wooded area prone to deer and other wildlife activity. We’ve programmed the software to recognize the difference between a deer and human so that the alarm system doesn’t activate unless it determines human activity. This recognition software is wholly accurate, too; one never has to worry about false alarms.”

The Nashville video security professionals at Interactive Systems believe Flir infrared cameras offer endless possibilities for use in commercial and industrial security. As their business expands, they looks forward to utilizing the wide range of applications offered by Flir’s thermal imaging products on future projects.
