Columbia, MD (PRWEB) April 19, 2013
The first-ever InvestMaryland Challenge of the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development ended this week with an awards reception in Baltimore. Attended by Governor Martin O’Malley and representatives of the most innovative early-stage companies from Maryland and other states, AirPatrol was honored alongside leading companies in IT, life sciences, and general industry.
AirPatrol Corporation walked away with two awards: one from the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship, one from Chesapeake Regional Tech Council.
“Maryland is quickly becoming a hub for cybersecurity and a leader in technology innovation,” said Cleve Adams, CEO. “By highlighting AirPatrol at this impressive event, Maryland’s recognition in the importance of mobile security for cybersecurity initiatives is apparent. With both InvestMaryland and the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE), AirPatrol is surrounded by others striving for cybersecurity and technology advancements.”
AirPatrol’s capabilities will be featured at the CTIA 2013 Innovation Showcase, put on by the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley, in May. At this event, 22 early-stage companies chosen by judges from hundreds of applications will demonstrate innovation, momentum, viability, and management.
