Wi Vid Wireless Video Cameras a worldwide supplier of wireless video transmitters and receivers is pleased to release its Wireless PTZ Camera System. The WVC-SD Digital PTZ System (pan-tilt-zoom) is a very versatile wireless camera video link which provides a long range pan-tilt-zoom wireless video surveillance system suitable for military, police, fire, emergency and other rapid deployment applications. When used with the ruggedized briefcase style receiver with built-in rechargeable battery, 10” LCD monitor, joystick for PTZ control and DVR, the system is a portable command center. With the optional external rechargeable battery pack for the PTZ unit the system is completely Plug and Play with no need for external power with batteries lasting up to 8 hours of continuous use. Transmission is via COFDM Video and UHF Telemetry allowing much greater distances to be achieved and provides encrypted security and a robust, noise free signal. Available on 1.3GHz, 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz bands in real time (low latency), multiple cameras can be deployed within a single frequency. NTSC and PAL options are available for worldwide use. The camera system is easy to install with nine different protocols loaded as standard providing high levels of flexibility when connecting to existing installations.

Each PTZ camera unit has a built-in WVC-SD COFDM wireless video Transmitter and wireless pan-tilt-zoom receiver for remote data control. The unit has a channel selection switch which can set to any of the 16 available channels. When used with our briefcase style receiver its selectable 16 channel switch can set from 1 receiver unit to view and control up to 16 different PTZ camera units in the same general area. Each wireless camera can be viewed and controlled one at a time just by changing the channel on the receiver unit. The PTZ camera unit is designed to be installed in harsh and challenging environments or areas where the camera unit may be liable to experience physical abuse. The optically flat glass window is distortion free giving brighter clearer images at higher zoom ranges, allowing flexible installation in adverse environments, while being reinforced to withstand substantial impacts from thrown or falling objects. The window has a fitted wiper to clear any dirt and water while allowing continued use in the most adverse weather conditions. The PTZ camera housed in a cast anodized aluminum case which is sealed to an IP67 weatherproof rating.    The unit is available with optional Dual Thermal and Day/Night camera modules or standard Day/Night camera module.

Optional rack mounted receivers are also available for mobile command center vehicles. There are 4 WVC-SD diversity receiver units built into a 19” rack mountable case which is 12” deep and 3.5” high. This enables the user to custom design their command center vehicle to view 4 systems at the same time use their own vehicle mounted large screen LCD TV. There are antenna splitter/combiners available so all 4 receivers can use the same 2 antennas which can be mounted on top of the vehicle. The user could have one receiver unit for each PTZ transmitter unit or again just by changing channels via the rotary switch at the front of the rack mounted receiver, the user could view and control different PTZ camera units in the same area.

The system is available with many options to meet your exact requirements. By adding the Dual Thermal Imaging Camera option, the user can now see heat generated images, such as humans, animals, vehicles and fires through smoke, trees and even in some buildings. This is unlike any standard video camera where you must have a clear view of the object in order to see it. The Dual Thermal Imaging Camera can also provide temperature readings of the heat source up 1100 degrees F. Now police and military can see potential suspects or threats. Fire fighters can see fire sources even through heavy smoke and get temperature readings as well to protect their fellow fire fighters.

The Dual Thermal Imaging Camera housed with both thermal imaging and day/night camera modules is one of the most cost effective units on the market. When it comes to rapid deployment, Plug & Play setup, ease of use and reliability no other system can compare.
