Leading Purveyor of Premium Teas Heads Back to NYC for Largest Specialty Food and Beverage Event

The Republic of Tea, leading purveyor of premium teas, is delighted to exhibit at the Specialty Food Association’s 59th Annual Summer Fancy Food Show. The eagerly anticipated sold-out show will be held June 30-July 2, 2013 and this year is back in New York City at Javits Convention Center.

Show attendees can stop by Booth #4238 to sip The Republic of Tea’s newest collection of Cuppa Cake™ Teas inspired by delectable cake recipes. The Republic of Tea will also introduce a Watermelon Hibiscus Superflower® Tea to benefit Action Against Hunger®, an innovative new tea from the Be Active Teas: Get Hydrated® Hibiscus Limón, an all natural liquid tea pouch that can be added to water or coconut water for instant refreshment after a workout, and a line of SuperHerb™ Teas.

Cuppa Cake™ Teas
The Republic of Tea’s new collection of Cuppa Cake™ Teas is a line of calorie-free, gluten-free teas inspired by delectable cake recipes, with rich aromas of baked goods fresh from the oven and other decadent, natural flavors sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.

The collection is comprised of three flavors: Blueberry Bundt Tea, a caffeine-free, gluten-free red rooibos tea with a light, natural flavor of yellow butter cake and ripe, sweet blueberries; Caramel Vanilla Tea, a black tea inspired by old-fashioned Southern yellow cake and infused with natural caramel and vanilla flavor; and Lemon Chiffon Tea, a caffeine-free, gluten-free green rooibos tea combined with natural lemon, vanilla and coconut flavor.

The Republic of Tea’s line of Cuppa Cake™ Teas can be served hot with a splash of milk, or cold over ice. Each of these premium teas retail for $10.00 and come in colorful, giftable tins reminiscent of the local bakeshop that hold round, unbleached tea bags free of tags, strings and staples. The full collection will be available in August for purchase nationwide at natural and specialty food stores, through the company website, (http://www.REPUBLICofTEA.com), mail-order catalogue and by calling 800.298.4TEA (832).

Watermelon Hibiscus Superflower® Tea
The Republic of Tea is unveiling a new Watermelon Hibiscus Superflower® Tea, of which a portion of profits from each tin will be donated to Action Against Hunger®, a global nonprofit organization working to end hunger by creating sustainable water and food solutions around the world.

The Republic of Tea’s new caffeine-free Watermelon Hibiscus Superflower® Tea blends the flavor of sweet-tart premium Nigerian hibiscus blossoms with the cool taste of ripe watermelon and was developed to encourage tea drinkers to sip to end hunger. A donation of $1 will be made from the sale of each tin (36 tea bags) as part of $40,000 worth of contributions to be made by The Republic of Tea between June 2013 and June 2014, which will help Action Against Hunger® save the lives of children in need of nutrition treatment and clean water.

Get Hydrated® Hibiscus Limón
The Republic of Tea will also introduce Get Hydrated® Hibiscus Limón, its first all natural, calorie-free instant liquid tea pouch. The new instant refresher contains premium tea concentrate made with all natural ingredients and flavors inspired by Get Hydrated® – Herb Tea for Refreshment from its line of Be Active Teas designed for healthy and fitness-driven lifestyles.

The Get Hydrated® Hibiscus Limón liquid pouch offers thirst-quenching citrus notes of fruity hibiscus, rose hips and green rooibos extracts blended with natural date, black limón (dried lime) and black currant flavors to create a caffeine-free concentrate that, when blended with 16 oz. water or coconut water, is the ultimate refresher.

Get Hydrated® Hibiscus Limón will be available for purchase nationwide in July at natural and specialty food stores, through the company website, (http://www.REPUBLICofTEA.com), mail-order catalogue and by calling 800.298.4TEA (832).
