Benedictine University today announced the extension of the Final 14 Scholarship*, which awards qualified new students their Final 14 credits in the online Master of Public Health (MPH) program at no cost – a $7,980 value. Students now have an extra term to take advantage of the scholarship.

Benedictine University’s MPH Degree is the second largest of its kind in Illinois. The online MPH degree offers the same program as the traditional on-campus degree, which has been in place for more than three decades. The online MPH provides students with the essential tools to lead organizations, agencies and companies that deal with the vital issue of public health. Coursework in the online MPH program prepares students to help improve lives and protect the health of individuals within communities through education, promotion of healthy lifestyles and research for disease and injury prevention. Students can earn a general degree or choose to specialize in three areas: Health Management and Policy, Disaster Management and Health Education and Promotion.

Students have many reasons to choose the online Benedictine MPH program. The flexibility of an online degree allows students to achieve their goals while juggling the commitments of work and family. Students interested in earning their MPH learn the skills that allow them to focus their careers on enhancing the health in human populations through organized community effort.

To qualify for Benedictine University’s Final 14 Scholarship*, students must matriculate into the online MPH program, as well as start their first class between October 2012 and April 2013, complete their final three courses by May 2016, and have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher at the start of the final three courses.
