NACHA to Recognize Nearly 400 New Recipients of the Accredited ACH Professional Credential During National AAP Recognition Day on Feb. 9
Herndon, Va. (PRWEB) February 09, 2016 -- In honor of National AAP Recognition Day, NACHA — The Electronic Payments Association announced it recently awarded 375 individuals the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) credential. More than 4,300 professionals currently hold the credential.
To be awarded the AAP credential, individuals must pass a comprehensive exam that is administered by NACHA each fall. The exam tests an individual’s knowledge of subjects including the NACHA Operating Rules, the ACH Network and other payments systems, technical and operational ACH requirements, risk management, and payments-related regulations.
“AAPs are an elite group of highly skilled payment professionals who are well-regarded by financial regulators and examiners, peers and clients,” said Scott M. Lang, AAP, senior vice president, Association Services at NACHA. “The demonstrated knowledge and expertise they bring to their workplaces help to distinguish their organizations as those committed to doing payments right.”
Also as part of AAP Recognition Day, NACHA launched the AAP Exchange. The online community is a dedicated space for AAPs, both current and aspiring, to engage with one another via conversations and blogs while staying informed about what matters to AAPs. It provides information such as educational opportunities to keep the AAP credential in good standing, information about the AAP exam, as well as a member and company directory. The site also features a new video, “AAP: The Gold Standard in Payments Accreditation,” that highlights the importance of the Program.
To honor the recently credentialed and current AAPs during National AAP Recognition Day, which is celebrated annually on the second Tuesday of February, this year NACHA and the Regional Payments Associations (RPAs) will fly a U.S. flag over the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. The flag then will be awarded to an AAP at the annual AAP Reception, sponsored by the RPAs, at PAYMENTS 2016, which will be held April 17-20, in Phoenix, Arizona.
AAPs receive exclusive registration rates for PAYMENTS 2016 ($1,325 through Feb. 9) and The Payments Institute ($2,195), two of NACHA’s premier educational events. Registration is now open for both programs, which offer continuing education credits.
