GuidingCare customers will now be able to acquire real-time lab and radiology results, ADT transactions and more. Payers can then act efficiently to drive better outcomes and reduce costs.
Reston, VA (PRWEB) March 01, 2018
Altruista Health, Inc., an innovative provider of care management technology solutions for health plans and provider organizations today announced it will partner with Halfpenny Technologies, a leading provider in meaningful clinical data exchange, to improve quality and drive down care management costs for health plans. The partnership integrates EHR systems with real-time clinical data from thousands of providers with Altruista’s GuidingCare® medical management and population health platform. The integration will enable payers and providers to share real-time data, enhancing care coordination while also reducing the administrative burden on providers.
Altruista’s GuidingCare platform will integrate with clinical data from 3,000-plus providers in 48 states. Payers will know immediately when a member is being discharged from the hospital, for example, so the payer can help coordinate post-discharge care. This will reduce readmissions and gaps in care, effectively improving quality and reducing medical spending. Until now, payers had to rely on providers to notify them of patient events, often creating a lag time of days or weeks.
Halfpenny Technologies offers cloud-based, fully managed solutions that support care coordination, care management, regulatory requirements and data analysis within and between healthcare organizations. They link hospitals, labs, health plans, pharmacies and HIEs. With this partnership, Halfpenny Technologies now populates GuidingCare with this data.
“Robust and timely clinical data is essential to enhancing quality, managing risk and improving care coordination,” said Ashish Kachru, chief executive officer of Altruista Health. “GuidingCare customers will now be able to acquire real-time lab and radiology results, ADT transactions and more. Payers can then act efficiently to drive better outcomes and reduce costs.”
The GuidingCare platform is a suite of applications health plans rely on for population health outcomes and cost management. Health plans and provider organizations currently manage more than 38 million members in 35-plus states on GuidingCare.
“We are excited to partner with a clear technology leader like Altruista Health to improve care management,” said Tim Kowalski, president and chief executive officer of Halfpenny. “This strategic partnership empowers payers and providers to tackle critical challenges in care management and population health.”
