Operation Homefront Receives 11th Consecutive Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator
SAN ANTONIO (PRWEB) March 12, 2018 -- Operation Homefront, the national nonprofit that helps builds strong, stable and secure military families, received its 11th consecutive four-star rating from Charity Navigator, America's largest and most utilized independent charity rating agency. Operation Homefront is one of only 75 charities nationwide to receive 11 or more consecutive four-star ratings – the highest possible rating – placing it in the top one percent of all charities.
“We are extremely honored to be recognized for the 11th year in a row by such a highly respected organization,” said Brig Gen (ret) John I. Pray, Jr., president and CEO of Operation Homefront. “This prestigious rating reflects the stellar work of our entire team and our collective focus on delivering the programs that allow our military families the opportunity to thrive, not simply struggle to get by, in the communities they have worked so hard to protect."
Charity Navigator bases its rating analysis on an evaluation of the financial health, accountability and transparency of over 8,000 charities and provides basic data on the rest of the 1.4 million U.S. nonprofits.
“Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that Operation Homefront exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work,” said Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator. “Operation Homefront outperforms most other charities in America. This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator sets Operation Homefront apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness.”
As 92 percent of Operation Homefront’s expenditures go directly to program delivery and services, the organization is consistently recognized for superior performance by leading independent charity oversight groups. Operation Homefront has received an “A” rating from CharityWatch, attained GuideStar's Platinum level and met all 20 Accountability Standards of the Better Business Bureau.
