Cambridge Semantics, the leading provider of a universal semantic layer for big data management and connected data analytics solutions, was recently announced as the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the Software - Big Data Solution category for The 16th Annual American Business® Awards for its AnzoGraph database product.

The American Business Awards are the U.S.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Monday, June 11.

Cambridge Semantics’ AnzoGraph™, which launched in February, is a native graph-based parallel query database engine designed for interactive analysis of diverse data. AnzoGraph provides organizations with the ability to make faster business decision with lower costs through its ability to query and analyze trillions of relationships and run 111x faster than its nearest competitor.

“AnzoGraph has been deployed as a part of the Anzo Smart Data Lake at several Fortune 500 companies for years,” said Barry Zane, VP of engineering at Cambridge Semantics. “As the solution has matured and is field proven, we’re proud to deploy it as a standalone big data product benefiting several industries.”

Data-intensive industries can use graph databases and the AnzoGraph as an essential analytics offering to drive quicker access to business insights. These include sophisticated feature sets for training or operationalizing machine learning algorithms in industries for drug discovery, pharmacovigilance, fraud analytics, and risk analytics, among others.

“In what many have touted as ‘The Year of the Graph,’ it’s an honor for AnzoGraph to be recognized by the American Business Awards,” said Alok Prasad, president of Cambridge Semantics. “AnzoGraph can scale complex graph traversal queries and perform data warehouse style aggregation analytics, complementing Amazon Neptune’s transactional Graph-Based Online Transaction Processing (GOLTP), with integration for cloud providers.”

More than 200 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.

“The nominations submitted for The 2018 American Business Awards were outstanding. The competition was intense, and those recognized as Stevie Award winners should be immensely proud of this accomplishment,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
