The IIT Bay Area Alumni association is hosting its upcoming Bay Area Leadership Conference (IIT BALC) 2018, on June 9, at the Santa Clara Convention Center, CA, USA. This leadership conference is designed primarily by IITians, for IITians, with IITians along with family and friends. There are over 15,000 alum from the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) based in the Bay Area for whom this annual conference is an occasion to learn, showcase and mingle with their friends and peers.
Topics for the Leadership Conference 2018 with a theme of Creative Disruption include Blockchain, AI, Robotics, Healthcare, and Disruptions. About 30 IIT-led startups will also be pitching their value propositions and showcasing technology at the Startup Mela (Festival), which is back by popular demand. It gives startups by IIT alumni founders a forum for branding, recruiting, fund-raising, and getting feedback from their peers and a platform for IITStartups.org graduates next year.
According to Ravi Mhatre, “Some people like to Garden or Golf, I’m interested in technology.” There will be more than 40 renowned IITians speaking about technology at the conference.
