CHARLOTTE, N.C. (PRWEB) June 18, 2018
Mallard Creek Polymers, Inc. (MCP) announced the acquisition of intellectual property from Ecronova Polymers GmbH in early April. The company is excited to integrate the Ecronova® and Ecrovin® into the North American market. The acquisition has added over 90 recipes, including pure acrylic dispersions, styrene acrylic polymer emulsions, and vinyl acetate homopolymers and copolymers.
MCP has developed a new company, MCP Europe GmbH, that brings sales, chemists, application experts and business leaders from the past Ecronova organizations who are ready to respond to your questions and challenges. MCP Europe GmbH will soon introduce styrene acrylics and pure acrylics using a high-quality set of tolling partners across Europe. The company is also working to continue to offer key vinyl acetate emulsions in North America and Europe. Ecronova KDA 60 and Ecronova KDA 30 are two of the first products MCP has scaled up in Europe. These are deep penetrating primers that are considered market leaders across the European region and set the industry standard for central and eastern European countries.
Included in the recently announced Intellectual Property from Ecronova are pure acrylics for wood and metal. The company is working to evaluate the breadth and depth of the technology available. Ecronova RA 646 H, a wood coating, is the first to be introduced in the US. The first batch of Ecronova RA 646 H has been produced in Charlotte, NC, and is now available for sampling and purchase in the U.S. This product combines two key elements of the Ecronova technology portfolio: small particle size and ambient cure crosslinking technology. The portfolio of products and chemistry from this IP will greatly enhance our offering to the Paint and Coatings industry. The production of Ecronova RA 646 H is the first of many scale-ups that will be driven by our customers over the next year.
Many of the company’s newly developed products can be found in the Coatings Selection Guide and Construction Selection Guides. In many cases, though, the products are not available for general market use due to the structure of the project.
